- 12 “Volunteer” purple cards
Setup
- Shuffle all Compémon cards
- Shuffle job & self fulfillment cards, keeping colors separate.
- Deal 7 Compémon cards to each player
- Lay out each colored job set (yellow, orange, red) and the Hobbies and Volunteer sets face down.
- Take the top 3 cards from each of the job sets and turn them face up in a row next to their piles.
- Turn 1 card from the self fulfillment decks (Hobby and Volunteer) and set it face up next to its pile.
- Turn over the top card face up one side of the deck for the discard pile.
Play
Starting clockwise from the dealer:
- Pick up one card from the top of the Compémon deck OR top card from the discard pile
You can either:
- Choose not to play a card(s) to acquire a job or self-fulfillment card, and discard one.
OR
- Play one or more cards to pick up a job or self-fulfillment card. Each job or self-fulfillment card has one or more competencies indicated on its face – you must have the right combination of competencies.
- You may use a higher level card of the same competency for a lower level competency requirement. For example, if a job requires a level 2 Compémon, you can use the level 3 Compémon of the same competency for that job instead. However, you may not use a lower level card to pay for a higher level competency.
